Acute Program of Care
The Acute Program of Care is designed to treat patients who have just incurred an injury, whether it is their back, neck, shoulder, or another part of their body. ‘Bend’ utilizes various techniques, including chiropractic, laser therapy, and education to provide acute patients with relief from their pain and inflammation.
Chronic Program of Care
Chronic injuries and/or pain refer to a patient’s condition that has existed for longer than four weeks. For example, a chronic injury might be a back injury sustained a month ago, or a shoulder problem a patient has had since he/she was a child. Chronic patients typically require longer periods of care to successfully rehabilitate. Using chiropractic, laser therapy, thermotherapy, education, and prescriptive fitness, ‘Bend’ will implement the necessary therapeutic tools to successfully rehabilitate the injury.
Maintenance Program
of Care
In many cases, once therapy for an injury ends the pain returns. Many recently recovered patients return to the activities that caused their original injury. In addition, because of the body’s innate drive to return to the state it has become used to, combined with the strenuous day-to-day activities our lifestyles demand, recurrence of injuries is common. For these reasons, ‘Bend’ offers a maintenance program to help retrain the body to stay in a healthier state.
Wellness Program of
Care
For those striving to improve their overall wellness, ‘Bend’ offers a wellness program that aims to keep your body strong, flexible, mobile, free of pain, and functioning optimally. Typically, the wellness program incorporates regular chiropractic care, exercise and nutritional support.
Motor Vehicle Accident
(MVA) & Workplace Injuries (WSIB)
‘Bend’ also designs a program of care to treat injuries sustained at work or during a motor vehicle accident. Bend will communicate directly with the auto-insurance company or Workplace Safety & Insurance Board to take care of billing.
